About me

LEAH SANDLIN, MSW, LISW

PSYCHOTHERAPIST

SHE/HER

As an independently licensed therapist, I’m honored to support and walk alongside individuals on their unique journeys toward a deeper sense of healing and wholeness. I believe within each of us lies the potential to rediscover our goodness, nurture deep connections, experience a transformative sense of healing, and make changes that align with what truly matters to us.
Through this process, we can come into greater harmony with ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati, a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Literature from Maryville College, and an Advanced Training Certificate in Ecopsychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.

With experience as a psychotherapist serving individuals, families, and groups, as well as roles in mental health education and advocacy, I bring both a broad spectrum of experience and focused expertise to this work.

My therapeutic approach is evidence-based, psychodynamic, integrative, and neuro-informed. I use modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR Therapy, mindfulness interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic practices, Narrative and Creative Therapies, and nature-based techniques to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals.

"Let the beauty we love be what we do."

—RUMI—

Outside of the office, you’ll likely find me in the midst of a family adventure—whether hiking through the woods or elbow-deep in a new recipe that may turn out to be a cooking triumph or a delightful disaster.

I have a soft spot for fiddling around on my violin, losing myself in books that stir my soul, and traveling to places that expand my view of the world. Though my roots are in the rugged beauty and resilience of the Appalachian Mountains in Tennessee, my family and I now reside in the open-hearted landscape of Southwestern Ohio.
